Neighbors Caring and Sharing: 2009-2010 schedule
Neighbors is a missions of Conestoga Mennonite Church designed to met the spiritual and emotional needs of the woman in our community. Worship, fellowship and a variety of inspirational topics are offered weekly.
Tuesday Mornings: 9:15am - 11:00am
Conestoga Mennonite Church: Located on Route 23, 1/2 mile west of Morgantown: 610-286-9124
Childcare: Childcare is provided for ages infant through kindergarten. Our teachers prepare stories, crafts and activities appropriate to the child's age. Snacks are provided.
Cost: All programs and child care are offered free of charge. Craft mornings require pre-registration. A small fee is charged to cover the cost of supplies purchased for you. If you sign up to participate, please plan to attend. There is a donation basket available for anyone wishing to financially support the program.
Cancellations: Neighbors follows the Twin Valley School District regarding inclement weather. If school is cancelled or delayed, there will be no meeting.
Schedule:
September 22- Welcome Back to the Bread of Life- Welcome ladies of All Ages and Backgrounds. This will be a fun morning of fellowship and sampling breads, cheese and jams.
September 29- Chrisitan Apologetics- Giving a reason for the Hope that lies Within Me- with Ruthie Dunkle speaking at 9:30-10:30 am.
October 6- Living Victoriously with Anxiety and Depression with Loice Byler.
October 13- Walk thru Gring's Mill Park- A time of fellowship and enjoying the outdoors. Meet at the church.
October 20- Croatia Thru the Eyes of John Tall- Sue Sutter's brother sharing about his mission trip.
October 27- Guess Who's Coming to Brunch- Pre-register by Oct. 20. Various women in our group will host small brunches with the guests contributing to the meal.
November 3- Triumph Over Procrastination- with Anne Weaver. Service Project for November: Collect for Twin Valley Food Pantry
November 10-Spa Day with Charlotte Lapp. Enjoy a hand massage and learn about hand and foot care. Collection Day
November 17- Pure as the Driven Snow: Purity Inside and Out- with Idella Otto. Last Collection Day for TV Food Pantry.
November 24- Thanksgiving Week- No Meeting.
December 1- Craft & Bake Time- Lee Forester will lead us in a craft and we will bake cookies for our next week's visits. Pre-register.
December 8- Holiday Visits- Pre-register and meet at the Church at 9:15am.
Christmas Break
January 5 - Onion or Parfait- with LuAnn Wise. A short drama to help you view the real you.
January 12- Brain Development in Young Children- by Dorothy Leatherman.
January 19- Exercise for Fitness- Come dressed to move
January 26- Cooking With Crockpots with Rita Richard
February 2- Bible Study with Stan Deen.
February 9- Learning to Love Your Marriage and the People in It- with Lisa Heft.
February 16- Hopsice of Lancaster County -Joan Groh will talk to us about how we can help those faced with a life limiting condition.
February 23- Janet Oberholtzer sharing her journey through life.
March 2- Un-Caged, Free to Fly! with Loice Byler.
March 9- Tour of Family Life Center in Gap- Pre- register. Service Project.
March 16- Sharing of Thrifty Ideas- coordinated by Ruthie Musser.
March 23 - Meditating & Praying When Your Time is Not Your Own- with Jane Hoober Peiffer.
March 30- Rainbow Lunch with "Shades of Fashion" featured from the Morgantown ReUzit Shoppe.
April 13- Knotting Comforters for MCC. Time of fellowship and helping others.
May 4- Historic Tour of 1811 Grubb House- Meet at 9am. Pre-register with Tina Essick.
